synopsis

If the parts of a ship are replaced, bit-by-bit, is it still the same ship?

A celebrated experimental photographer struggles with the loss of her intuitive genius as an unexpected aftermath of a physical change; an intellectual monk confronting a complex ethical dilemma with a long held ideology, has to choose between principle and death; and a young stockbroker, following the trail of a stolen kidney, learns how intricate morality could be.

impact

Our feature film Ship of Theseus has been credited as the beginning of a new wave of meaningful Indian cinema. It was awarded the National Award for Best Film (the highest award granted in cinema in India).

It was the first feature film produced out of India acquired by Netflix. We also sold to Channel 4 and HBO. It premiered Toronto Film Festival and went on to win several international awards from Tokyo to Transylvania.

The Critics’ Circle, UK included it on a list of fifteen “life-changing films of all time”, along with Annie Hall, Battle of Algiers, If and Raging Bull. The film was distributed in India by Disney, sold globally by Fortissimo and acquired by Netflix and Fandor.
