ElseVR is the most disruptive idea in narrative nonfiction and journalism to emerge out of Asia. A periodical magazine/channel in Mixed Reality, ElseVR brings extraordinary and urgent stories to Virtual Reality, granting the audience an entry “into” the story.

Each story facilitates collaborations between formidable filmmakers, writers and designers to amplify the power of narrative.

ElseVR features stories by acclaimed filmmakers and writers- Anand Patwardhan, Khushboo Ranka, Faiza Khan, Aruna Chandrashekhar, Shubhangi Swarup and Nistha Jain. The films have been built in collaboration with internationally renowned organisations such as Amnesty International, Oxfam and BBC.

The films have been showcased at International festivals and events.

In February 2017, the company released its first app for the
virtual reality headset This was followed by the launch of six documentaries including Cost of Coal, Right To Pray, When Borders Move, Yeh Ballet, Submerged, and Caste is Not a Rumour.

In the same year, the company made a collaboration with Amnesty International India and Oxfam India and installed VR booths at the Mumbai Metro stations to engage the commuters with VR documentaries, putting them at the center of important narratives like floods, mining and displacement, Dalit protests and feminist movements.
